18/09/2007 (Agence Europe) - The 2007 edition of the OECD's 'Education at a Glance 2007' notes a sharp rise in the number of people completing higher education in OECD countries over recent years, describing this as a positive development for the graduates and national economies alike without automatically leading to an 'inflation' of the value of the degrees and qualifications concerned. Education at a Glance is designed to help countries measure the performance of their education system against other countries, providing an impressive array of updated and comparable indicators of the achievements of education systems. The indicators show who is involved in education, the funding they are allocated, how education systems operate and the outcomes achieved. Info: http: //http://www.oecd.org/edu/eag2007 ). (il)
