Brussels, 18/09/2007 (Agence Europe) - Social Affairs Commissioner Vladimir Spidla and President of the Federation of Belgian Enterprises (FEB) Jean-Claude Daoust held a press conference on Tuesday 17 September to present the “2007 European Job Days”. More than 220 European cities from throughout the EU will take part in various events during the week of 24-29 September. These days are organised by the European Commission, in partnership with the Brussels Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The Brussels “Job Day” will take place in the Commission's Berlaymont Building in Brussels on 29 September. Young people will have the opportunity to meet 50 employers, who will hold interviews with those interested in finding employment with their companies. There will also be the opportunity to talk to European employment network EURES advisers and access the job offers at the network's stand (1.2 million job vacancies advertised in 25 languages!).
