Gilles de Kerckhove appointed as new Anti-Terrorism Tsar

Brussels, 18/09/2007 (Agence Europe) - Belgian national Gilles de Kerchove will soon be appointed as European Anti-Terrorism Coordinator, taking over from Dutch national Gijs de Vries, who resigned in March 2007. Several close European sources confirmed the appointment on Tuesday, adding that it will soon be announced by EU High Representative for CFSP, Javier Solana.
