Peter Mandelson in favour of golden European shares to protect strategic Union companies against state-owned foreign funds

Brussels, 23/07/2007 (Agence Europe) - Commented on by the whole of the international press corps this week, trade Commissioner, Peter Mandelson's ideas are making waves. The Commissioner is a fervent advocate of free trade and “free movement” and believes that golden European shares will be appropriate instrument for protecting European firms against state-owned foreign funds.
