Riccardo Illy (AER) asks for regional interests to be maintained in reform treaty

Brussels, 23/07/2007 (Agence Europe) - During the opening on Monday 23 July of the Intergovernmental Conference (IGC) on treaty reform (see other article), the president of the Assembly of European Regions (AER) and the region of Friuli-Venezia-Giulia (Italy), Riccardo Illy, launched an appeal urging European representatives to ensure that regional interests are, “safeguarded in the new EU Reform Treaty”.
