Jacques Barrot calls for directive on road infrastructure safety and European driving licence to be speeded up

Brussels, 23/07/2007 (Agence Europe) - Commenting on the accident involving a Polish coach, in which 26 pilgrims died in the Isère region of France on Sunday, Commission Vice-President with responsibility for Transport Jacques Barrot said he hoped this tragedy would “speed up the adoption of the directive providing for monitoring of road infrastructure” and the implementation on the directive on the European driving licence. “I feel some reticence, but this accident must serve to...
