Brussels, 23/07/2007 (Agence Europe) - In Brussels on 23 July, the Foreign Affairs Ministers of the EU gave their green light in principle to the planning of a potential EU military operation to eastern Chad and the north east of the Central African Republic (Birao region) to secure refugee camps in these areas, pending the deployment of a United Nations police force (EUROPE 9473 and 9469).
