Brazil attacks American farm subsidies

Brussels, 13/07/2007 (Agence Europe) - After the complaint filed by Canada on 8 June, Brazil announced on 11 July that it had initiated its own procedure at the WTO against US farm subsidies. Brasilia accuses the United States of going beyond the amounts authorised between 2001 - 2005 and of granting aid to sectors not envisaged in the US Farm Bill. (eh)
