12/07/2007 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday, the European Commission approved the proposed acquisition of sole control of EMI group plc of the UK by Terra Firma Group of Guernsey, the Channel Islands. Terra Firma is an investment fund company. EMI is a major player in music recording and music publishing. The operation was examined under the simplified merger review procedure. (cd)
