Agim Ceku calls on EU to consider recognising Kosovo's independence, without waiting for UN Security Council

Brussels, 12/07/2007 (Agence Europe) - Kosovo Prime Minister Agim Ceku, in Brussels on Wednesday for a meeting with EU High Representative for the CFSP Javier Solana, called on the European Union not to wait for the United Nations Security Council and to move towards recognising the independence of Kosovo. “It seems to us that we will not have (an) acceptable solution (at the) UN Security Council,” Mr Ceku told press. “For us, it is not enough for countries and the international...
