Commission opens in-depth investigation into €39 million aid to IBIDEN Hungary

Brussels, 12/07/2007 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday, the European Commission opened a formal investigation into public funding of over €39 million for an investment project by IBIDEN Hungary Gyártó Kft. in the Dunavarsány Industrial Park, Central Hungary. The Commission has doubts as to the compatibility of the proposed aid with the EC state aid rules because there are concerns regarding the relevant product market and the market share of the beneficiary.
