Brussels, 10/07/2007 (Agence Europe) - The EU27 finance ministers have formally decided to allow Cyprus and Malta to join the euro, also setting the fixed and irrevocable exchange rates for their national currencies and the euro. The exchange rate for the Cyprus pound was set at 0.585274 pounds for one euro, and the Maltese lira exchange rate is 0.4293 lira for one euro.
