10/07/2007 (Agence Europe) - Interpol General Secretary Ronald Noble said recently that the United States, the European Union and other countries were refusing to share sensitive information on terrorism which would have been able to help prevent the recent terrorist attacks like the car bombs in the UK. These countries tend to only provide information to other countries they are friendly with and this is a mistake, he said. 'You can't fight terrorism from the (European Union) only, or the United States, or with your allies,' argued Noble, according to reports in USA Today. 'Al Qaeda operates internationally. You have to fight it worldwide,' added Noble, who accused London of refusing to share information on terrorists and not consulting Interpol's big database. (bc)
