04/06/2007 (Agence Europe) - In a press release on Friday 1 June, the Commission presented the results of the consultation exercise launched in December 2006 on a strategic approach to public health. 153 responses were received by the Commission by the closing date of 12 February. Analysis of these responses shows wide support for a European strategy based on an effective partnership between the Commission, member states and various public health players.
