Council signs up to 2007-2013 strategy objectives for consumer policy and sets out priorities

Brussels, 31/05/2007 (Agence Europe) - The EU27 ministers responsible for consumer issues welcome the new strategy promoted by the European Commission for consumer policy 2007-2013 (EUROPE 9242). Meeting in Council on 31 May in Brussels, under the chairmanship of Horst Seehofer of Germany, they welcomed this initiative and, in a resolution, expressed their hope that the strategy would be implemented, with special emphasis on the following priorities:
