23/05/2007 (Agence Europe) - On 14 May, the Council adopted a regulation providing for Community aid of €423 million to Slovenia over the period 2007-2013 for the decommissioning of Units 1 and 2 of the Bohunice nuclear power plant. In a protocol to the 2003 act of accession to the EU, Slovakia committed itself to the closure of the two units by 13 December 2006 and 31 December 2007 respectively. (eh)
