South Korea gives go-ahead to talks for FTA with Union - first round table in Seoul next week

Brussels, 02/05/2007 (Agence Europe) - After the go-ahead given by the EU27 to Trade Commissioner Peter Mandelson on 23 April (EUROPE 9412), the South Korean government gave its formal support to its trade minister, Kim Hyung Chong, on Tuesday to launch talks for a bilateral free trade agreement (FTA) between the Union and South Korea.
