Green light to member states for opening new chapter with Turkey and Croatia but subject to “benchmarks”

Brussels, 28/03/2007 (Agence Europe) - As we previously announced (EUROPE 9391), Coreper gave the green light on Wednesday to the opening of accession negotiations with Turkey on the “industrial and enterprise chapter”. Discussions were launched on Thursday 29 March in Brussels during a deputy level negotiation session.
