No major changes to Dublin II before 2008

Brussels, 26/03/2007 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission does not intend to introduce any significant changes to the Dublin II regulation that allows member states to send asylum seekers back to countries where they first entered the European Union. An assessment focusing on the Dublin II (2003) and Eurodac (2000) regulations, as well as on the measures for applying them, will be made public in April, in the form of a Communication.
