Commission gives conditional approval to Czech national emission quota allocation plan for 2008-2012

Brussels, 26/03/2007 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has conditionally approved the Czech Republic's national plan for allocating greenhouse gas emission allowances for the period 2008-2012, subject to amendments being put in place.

In a press release, the Commission sets out the changes required: the annual allocation may not exceed 86.8 million allowances (14.8% lower than the amount proposed by Czech authorities); allocations to installations benefiting from bonuses for early...
