06/02/2007 (Agence Europe) - The exhibition “Leonardo da Vinci - The European Genius”, which is to be staged by the European Commission on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Treaty of Rome, and which was initially due to open its doors to the public in Brussels in April, has now been postponed for several months due to technical reasons. It will finally be open to the public from 18 August 2007 - 16 March 2008, in the Basilique de Koekelberg in Brussels. The exhibition will look at all the facets of Leonardo de Vinci's life: painter, sculptor, engineer, musician, architect, anatomist, physician and inventor. It will also highlight the most significant European performances in the field of high technology, with contributions from the ESA, the ESO and the ITER nuclear fusion project, research into intelligent transport and progress in biotechnology, energy converters and the traceability of artworks.
