EGE stresses need to guarantee high level of safety in new nanotechnology procedures and devices

Brussels, 30/01/2007 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday 25 January, the European Group on Ethics in Science and New Technologies (EGE), which is chaired by Swedish philosopher Göran Hermerén, presented its Opinion on the ethical aspects of nanomedicine to European Commission President José Manuel Barroso, who, on 10 November 2005, had requested such an opinion.
