11/12/2006 (Agence Europe) - On 11 December the Council adopted without debate, its common position on the draft regulation on setting common rules on civil aviation safety rules. On 12 October in Luxembourg, the Transport Council succeeded in obtaining a political agreement on the dossier but without reaching an agreement with the European Parliament on the question of funding security measures, which put back the possibility of an agreement on the dossier to the second reading.
