06/12/2006 (Agence Europe) - On 7 December in Brussels, the EPP-ED group is organising a hearing on “the Future of the Euro-Mediterranean Cooperation”. PNUD/UNDP representatives and enterprise networks from the southern rim of the Mediterranean are invited to attend the talks on the economic and social situation in the region. The Euro-Mediterranean network of human rights is also invited. Issues will include the political aspects of immigration and a report by the institutions as part the framework of the Barcelona Process and Neighbourhood Policy. In preparation for this hearing, the president of the EP-ED group, Hans-Gert Pöttering organised a dinner-debate with all the ambassadors from the Euro-med area. (fb)
