Green light to investment in favour of German shipyard Volkswerft Stralsund

Brussels, 06/12/2006 (Agence Europe) - The Commission has authorised regional investment aid of 4.2 million EUR in favour of the German shipyard Volkswerft Stralsund, which is situated in the north-east of the country, which suffers from high unemployment. Further to an in-depth investigation opened in February 2006 (see EUROPE 9139), the Commission concluded that the investment would indeed be used solely for investments in order to modernise the yard to improve its productivity, in line...
