15/11/2006 (Agence Europe) - The European Parliament has approved with just a few small changes the proposal on setting up an approval mechanism for the introduction of new species in aquaculture. The report by Philippe Morillon (EPP-ED, France) on this dossier was adopted as such on 14 November by the EP meeting in Strasbourg (see EUROPE 9279 for details of the report). (lc)
