Brussels, 15/11/2006 (Agence Europe) - The EU-Jordan Association Council, which took place in Brussels on 14 November, provided an opportunity for both parties to take stock of the situation in the Middle East, Finnish foreign minister and President of the EU Council Erkki Tuomioja told press. The EU sees Jordan as a vital partner in the search for a solution to the Israel-Palestine problem which is “essential” for the stability of the whole region, he said.
