Commission to launch study on employment conditions for ferry workers

Brussels, 09/11/2006 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission will soon be launching a study on the intra-Community ferry sector, particularly on the conditions of the workers in this sector. The Commission has received numerous complaints on taking on cheap labour from outside the European Union, explained Christos Economou from the Directorate General Transport and Energy (DG TREN) at the Commission, during a conference on November organised by the European Transport Federation Workers...
