27/10/2006 (Agence Europe) - In second reading on Wednesday, MEPs gave the go-ahead for a European Payment Order to speed up the settlement of cross-border payment claims. The European Parliament is satisfied with the outcome of negotiations with the Member States, as the Council accepted all the EP's first reading amendments (from June 2006, see EUROPE 9279 and 9137).
