27/10/2006 (Agence Europe) - Initially foreseen for end October, the adoption of a communication as a first report on the “Plan D for Democracy, Dialogue and Debate” has been postponed. It will nonetheless take place on 22 and 23 November, the date when Margot Wallström, Commissioner in charge of institutional relations and information strategy, will take the floor at the EP Committee on Constitutional Affairs. Plan D is the Commission's contribution to the pause for reflection on the future of Europe decided by the European Council in June 2005 further to the French and Dutch rejection of the constitutional treaty.
