Investigation into French guarantees for construction of nuclear reactor in Finland - Mixed reactions

Brussels, 26/10/2006 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday the Commission opened an in-depth investigation to establish whether the guarantee granted by France on a €570 million bank loan to Finnish electricity producer Teollisuuden Voima Oy (TVO) is in line with market practice and is compatible with Community State aid rules.
