Parliament concerns about abuse of trade defence cases against EU

Strasbourg, 26/10/2006 (Agence Europe) - Adopting a report on Wednesday by Cristiana Muscardini (GUE, Italy) by 531 to 13 with 50 abstentions on third country anti-dumping, anti-subsidy and safeguard action against the EU in 2004, the European Parliament said it was 'concerned at the increase in the number of trade defence cases involving both 'traditional' users of trade defence instruments and other, more recently-developed WTO members' (traditional referring to Australia, Canada, the US...
