Strasbourg, 26/10/2006 (Agence Europe) - In Strasbourg on Wednesday 25 October, the European Parliament adopted a joint resolution on breast cancer in the enlarged EU, clearly indicating the importance it attaches to equal access for all women in Europe to screening and appropriate treatment for this disease which is contracted by 275,000 women every year. The resolution was carried by 641 votes to 11, with 4 abstentions.
