Laszlo Solyom stresses silence of western democracies on 1956 uprising

Strasbourg, 25/10/2006 (Agence Europe) - Speaking before the EP meeting in solemn session on Wednesday 25 October, the Hungarian president took up the subject of the October 1956 uprising that is currently being commemorated in a Hungary that has since become “independent, sovereign and democratic”.
