25/10/2006 (Agence Europe) - The EP's civil liberties committee on Tuesday adopted the report by Italian MEP Giusto Catania (GUE/NGL) of the ratification by the EU of the United Nations Convention against corruption. In the MEP's view, it is now necessary to tackle the corruption which is rampant even within the European institutions, in particular by publishing the donations received by MEPs and members of the Commission.
