17/10/2006 (Agence Europe) - Margot Wallström, Information Strategy Commissioner, said on Tuesday 17 October that discussions between Council, the European Parliament and Commission would be launched “next week” on the organisation in 2007 of pan-European events as part of the celebrations for the 50th anniversary of the Treaty of Rome. Also on Tuesday, the Commission unveiled the logo to be used for these celebrations. It was designed by Skrzypczak Szymon, a 23-year old Polish student at the School of Fine Arts in Poznan, in the context of a European competition in which over 1700 young designers from all over the EU took part.
