MEPs hope for firm responses from European Council on issues of concern: energy, innovation and immigration - Only a few days after murder of Anna Politkovskaya, President Putin's visit is not welcomed

Brussels, 11/10/2006 (Agence Europe) - Speaking to MEPs, meeting in plenary session on Wednesday, Finnish trade minister Paula Lehtomäki, on behalf of the Finnish Presidency of the Council, and Commission President José Manuel Barroso presented the issues to be discussed informally by EU heads of state and government in Lahti on 20 October.
