26/09/2006 (Agence Europe) - On Monday, the Council of the EU adopted, without discussion, its common position on a draft regulation on the law applicable to non-contractual obligations (Rome II) - presented by the Commission in 2003 - with the Estonian and Latvian delegations voting against. A political agreement was endorsed at the start of June in the Justice and Internal Affairs Council (see EUROPE 9204).
