European lawyers wishing to establish in a Member State are not required to prove language skills - in event of refusal of registration, recourse must be sought in a competent court

Luxemburg, 19/09/2006 (Agence Europe) - European lawyers who wish to practise in Luxemburg are not required to prove their competence in the three languages used in the Grand Duchy. If their Bar registration is refused, they must take their case to a competent court. In addition, European lawyers must be able to base their firms in Luxemburg, something that only their Luxemburg colleagues have been permitted to do until now, says the Court of Justice after ruling on this case in the Grand...
