19/09/2006 (Agence Europe) - Hans-Gert Pöttering, President of the EPP-ED Group at the European Parliament, has written to the Indonesian president requesting that three Catholics sentenced to death (for having been at disturbances in which 200 people died in 2000) should not be executed. The three Christians - Fabianus Tibo, Dominggus da Silva and Marinus Riwu - were sentenced whereas the Muslim provokers were spared, the German Christian Democrat states in a press release.
