Strasbourg, 08/09/2006 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday, the EP adopted a resolution urging the Thai authorities not to repatriate a group of 175 North Korean refugees arrested end August in Bangkok as “they and their families will face dire consequences”. It calls on Thailand to seek a “rapid and acceptable solution” for them especially by sending them to a third country of their choice, and invites the EU to tackle this question at the ASEM summit in Helsinki.
