Strasbourg, 08/09/2006 (Agence Europe) - Ahead of the 9th EU-China Summit (see above), the EP has adopted a report by Bastiaan Belder (IND/DEM, the Netherlands) openly criticising human rights abuses in China (death camps, forced labour camps, denial of religious freedom and freedom of expression and censoring of the internet) and Beijing's policy with regard to Taiwan and Tibet. EUROPE will be returning to this.
