Vilnius soon to announce new target date for introducing euro - Joaquin Almunia on visit

Brussels, 08/09/2006 (Agence Europe) - Lithuania is soon to announce a new target date for joining the eurozone, after the stalled attempt early this year (due to the inflation rate), Commission President José Manuel Barroso said on 8 September after a meeting in Brussels with the new Lithuanian prime minister, Gediminas Kirkilas.
