07/09/2006 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has granted clearance to the acquisition of sole control of Inco Limited (Inco is active in the mining, processing, refining and sale of various nickel products, copper, cobalt and precious metals) of Canada by Phelps Dodge Corporation (Phelps Dodge) of the US. The operation was examined under the simplified merger review procedure.
