06/09/2006 (Agence Europe) - On 5 September, the European Parliament approved the proposal to improve the coherence of the of the Community support programme for the smaller Aegean Islands (Daul report). This programme comprises a specific scheme to supply essential agricultural products to the people of the islands, and specific measures for local agriculture. The main change transfers the responsibility for establishing a plan to help the islands to the Greek government.
