European role in Lebanon and greater transparency of farm subsidies are among European Greens' top priorities

Brussels, 29/08/2006 (Agence Europe) - On 29 August, Daniel Cohn-Bendit of Germany and Monica Frassoni of Italy presented the priorities of the Greens/EFA Group at the European Parliament for the second half of 2006. The top priority is Lebanon. The Greens support UNIFIL reinforcement but says one should stop speaking in national terms and finally recognise that Europe has a major role to play in this issue, Daniel Cohn-Bendit explained.
