03/07/2006 (Agence Europe) - On Monday evening the European Parliament decided to send the report of Martine Roure (French Socialist) on the protection of personal data to the civil liberties committee for a vote in September's plenary. Ms Roure explained that at this stage “we still don't have a response on our amendments”. She justified her request for a postponement of the vote by explaining, “I know that the Finnish presidency intends to work very seriously with us”.
