Next six months will be devoted to reform of wine, fruit and vegetable, and banana sectors and to new rules for organic products, spirits and chickens for meat

Brussels, 03/07/2006 (Agence Europe) - Finland, which for the next six months will preside over the work of the Council of the EU, hopes to advance discussions on the reform of the wine and fruit and vegetable sectors in agriculture. The aim is to assist the German Presidency in the first six months of 2007 in finding a compromise among European agriculture ministers on the changes to be brought to these two important sectors.
