23/05/2006 (Agence Europe) - An EU delegation was in New Delhi on 22 May to take stock of the state of relations with India. The European Troika was headed by Johannes Kyrle, Secretary General of the Austrian Ministry for Foreign Affairs, and composed of Hervé Jouanjean, Deputy Director General for External Relations at the European Commission, and Pekka Metso, Director for Asia and Oceania, on behalf of the forthcoming Finnish EU Council Presidency. Discussions covered preparations for the EU-India Summit on 13 October and cooperation in the context of the security dialogue established in the action plan adopted in September 2005 (EUROPE 9022).
