15/05/2006 (Agence Europe) - The situation in Belarus was not raised at the “General Affairs/External Relations” Council on Monday, but Commissioner Benita Ferrero-Waldner told press that the EU was currently preparing additional sanctions, in the form of a freeze on the financial assets of the Lukashenko regime's main leaders. “We are working on it, but we need more time before taking a formal decision,” she said.
